CB Wismar reports from Kent. The Northwest Connecticut Arts Council celebrated the premier presentation of the Frank Delaney Legacy Series on Sunday, June 3 with a conversation between celebrated actor and longtime Connecticut resident Christine Baranski and Delaney’s widow and host of the event, Diane Meier, herself an author and marketer. Presented in the massive barn/studio that served as work space for Meier and noted author and broadcaster Frank Delaney, the afternoon event benefited the NWCT Arts Council and its work in supporting arts, culture and artists in the region. Amy Wynn, executive director of the council, introduced the program and noted that two years prior, Frank Delaney had conducted an insightful interview with actor and local resident Sam Waterston. “Diane has generously opened her home and invited us to continue the legacy begun by Frank,” she said. Christine Baranski, a 15-time EMMY nominee for her television roles, has also been awarded a TONY for her work on Broadway and widely applauded for her feature film work. Her current small screen project, “The Good Fight,” continues in its third season while the imminent release of “Mama Mia – Here We Go Again” extends that feature film franchise. Guests at the event enjoyed a selection of wines and summer drinks from Ira Smith’s Kent Wine and Spirit and sampled a sumptuous Mexican-themed buffet catered by Elissa Potts from Kent’s Fife ‘n Drum.
